How Discounts Work
Discounts reduce the original price of an item. A percentage discount is calculated on the original price. Multiple discounts can be applied sequentially, meaning the second discount is applied to the price after the first discount. Fixed amount discounts are simply subtracted from the price. Always factor in taxes and shipping for the true final cost!
Example: Stacked Discounts
If an item is ₹1000 with "20% off + extra 10%":
1. First discount: 20% of ₹1000 = ₹200. Price becomes ₹800.
2. Second discount: 10% of ₹800 = ₹80. Price becomes ₹720.
Total saved: ₹280.
